Position Overview:

We are seeking a passionate and creative individual to join our team as a Social Media Manager (Volunteer). Based in Toronto, Ontario, this role will be responsible for managing and curating content across all PCCC social media platforms to engage our audience, increase brand awareness, and promote our events, initiatives, and partnerships.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive social media strategy to enhance PCCC's online presence and support organizational goals.
  • Create engaging and compelling content for various social media platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, and YouTube, that aligns with PCCC's brand voice and messaging.
  • Monitor social media channels for trends, news, and conversations relevant to the Philippine-Canadian business community, and proactively engage with followers and stakeholders.
  • Schedule and publish regular posts, updates, and announcements across all social media channels, ensuring consistency and timeliness in content delivery.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to gather content, stories, and insights to share on social media, including event highlights, member spotlights, and industry news.
  • Monitor social media metrics, track performance, and analyze engagement data to measure the effectiveness of social media efforts and identify areas for improvement.
  • Stay informed about emerging social media trends, tools, and best practices, and provide recommendations for optimizing PCCC's social media strategy and tactics.
  • Serve as a brand ambassador for PCCC on social media, actively engaging with followers, responding to comments and messages, and fostering a positive online community.

Qualifications:

  • Prior experience managing social media accounts for organizations, brands, or initiatives preferred.
  • Strong understanding of social media platforms, trends, and best practices, with proficiency in content creation, scheduling, and analytics tools.
  • Excellent writing and communication skills, with the ability to craft engaging and impactful content for diverse audiences.
  • Creative mindset with a keen eye for design, photography, and visual storytelling.
  • Self-motivated and proactive, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Passion for the Philippine-Canadian community and a commitment to promoting diversity, inclusion, and economic development.
  • Availability to dedicate approximately 5-10 hours per week to social media management tasks, with flexibility to accommodate occasional evening or weekend commitments.
